At the end of 2019 I was telling people I was planning to start testing shampoo bars in the spring of 2020. Ha! I learned a lot of things in Spring of 2020 but most of it was about using online school platforms and how there IS such a thing as too much family togetherness.  

But finally, the time has arrived. Shampoo bars are here! Formulated for all hair types and safe for color-treated hair, this current round of shampoo bars is our "preview" version. I plan to keep the formula the same, but the look, size, and packaging may change in the final version. Before I go and buy the expensive equipment needed to finalize the bar's aesthetics, I want to make sure you like them! 

This version of the shampoo bar is cheaper than the polished final version, and I am asking for feedback. About 5-6 weeks after purchase, you will receive a survey asking about your experience.  There is no requirement to complete it, but it would be a massive help to me if you did!

Features:

  • Formulated for all hair types. 
  • Safe for color-treated hair. 
  • Contains quinoa protein and cocoa butter. 
  • Equivalent to 2-3 bottles of shampoo. 
  • Each product is handmade so there may be slight variations from the picture.
  • Approximate Net Weight: 3.0 oz. 

To Use:

  • Rub directly on hair to create a lather. 
  • Use your hands to massage the lather into your hair and scalp. 
  • Rinse as normal 
  • Store in a dry place between uses to extend the life of the bar.  

How Not To Use:

  • Don't get it into your eyes. The formula is gentle on hair but not tear-free. 
  • Don't let it sit in a puddle or under a drippy drain. Your bar will not last long.

Amazing Scent and Durable Bar

I bought the peppermint bar and the almond coconut bar a little over two months ago. I started using the peppermint first and it smells so amazing. It really made me feel fresh after long, hot days of outdoor labor.

Just today, I tried the almond coconut bar for the first time and it also has a great, comforting scent. I couldn't help but notice when I was switching out the bars, how impressive it is that I have so much peppermint left (unused bar and two-months-used bar pictured side-by-side below)!

Granted, I do have short hair but this is the most economical shampoo bar I've used. I recommend lathering it in your hands and rinse/repeat as needed, rather than scrubbing your hair directly with it. Both scents lather very nicely.

I also used the soap dishes for sale by this company, and they likely helped in keeping my soap in shape since they help with air flow around the bar.

Shampoo Bar

This is my second time getting the pomegranate shampoo bar and I am absolutely obsessed with it! It shipped quickly, and is very high quality, especially for the price. I have really thick colored hair (dyed black, not bleached) and it doesn't strip the color from it like some other shampoo bars. I love it!!

Shampoo Bars are my new jam--and my daughters

I was trying to read the reviews to come up with something different and I cant. Its so good...we have tried the peppermint bar. I loved it even when I was convinced it would be done in 4 or 5 washes. My daughters have super fine, extremely thick hair. I have been dealing with knots for years, it makes both of their heads so smooth.

Rose shampoo bar

I tried the rose shampoo bar and absolutely loved it! It has a pleasant lather and cleans without drying. I also loved the scent! Looking to reorder and I'm excited to try another scent. ☺️
