Maybe you recognize this scent. Maybe it's similar to a popular lotion in a yellow-lidded jar? Am I associated with this yellow-lidded company? Not at all. I'm just saying you might find this scent familiar. It's hard to describe beyond soft, sweet and nutty. You have to try it for yourself.
Shampoo bars have all the goodness of a high-quality shampoo without all the water and plastic bottles. Never used one before? Just wet your hair, swipe the bar across your head a few times, and work the thick lather through your hair, just like a traditional shampoo.
Despite taking up way less space than a traditional bar, these bars will last the equivalent of 2-3 bottles of shampoo. You can't over-pour a bar like you can a bottle.

To Use:
- Rub directly on wet hair to create a lather.
- Use your hands to massage the lather into your hair and scalp.
- Rinse as normal.
- Use your favorite conditioner.
- Store in a dry place between uses to extend the life of the bar.
How Not To Use:
- Don't get it into your eyes. The formula is gentle on hair but not tear-free.
- Don't let it sit in a puddle or under a drippy drain. Your bar will not last long.

I love the soaps from Oakley Soap, and have been using them since I was gifted my first bar by a student four years ago. Whenever I receive an order, Laura includes a sample of something. Some months ago, I received a sample of the pomegranate shampoo bar. I have seen shampoo bars, but could not imagine using one. They seemed bulky, I was sure it would take too long to lather up enough to work through my long, fairly thick, hair, and I was concerned about the impact on my every eight weeks hair coloring.
I set it in my cabinet and mostly forgot about it. Recently, I went into my cabinet to get a new bar of the None More Black facial soap (my favorite, read my review!) when I saw the little pomegranate shampoo oval sitting on top. I was in a 'what the hell' mood that morning, and took it in the shower. Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, I was very pleasantly surprised. It lathered quickly, it covered my hair fully, it smelled lovely, and it did not make my hair feel dried out or crispy. That little oval of shampoo lasted for ten hair washings. I have several shampoo/conditioning products that I rotate through the week, so I used the bar shampoo twice a week. I decided to buy two bars, the Pomegranate and the Brazilian Crush. I've integrated the bar into my routine and love the smell. I'll be slicing a small piece off to take with me on trips. So much easier than the tiny travel size bottles of shampoo. And so much nicer on the Earth and environment. I'm sure my next soap order will include the conditioner bar.

This one smells delicious. We’ve been using shampoo bars for years to reduce our plastics. We had been buying at Lush, but these are sturdier, bigger and the lather is great. Highly recommend all of the scents but this is like a tropical beach without being to “girly.”
